Chico Martin has been active in the Burlington, Vermont Poets Mimeo Cooperative since its inception in the early 70’s. For 13 years he owned and operated the Alley Beat Bookstore, in Middlebury, Vermont, which specialized in contemporary poetry and small press publications. Chico Martin teaches poetry and writing at Burlington College.
